19th May 2022, Gambang – Center for Sustainability of Ecosystems & Earth Resources (Pusat ALAM) has celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri Year 2022 on 19 May 2022 equivalent to 17 Syawal 1443 Hijrah. The Hari Raya celebration is celebrated with the staff of this department not only to celebrate Hari Raya, but it can also strengthen the relationship between the staff of the Pusat ALAM, UMP's staff and industry partners. The festive Aidilfitri celebration was celebrated with various food was served and a photo session as a memento of the celebration. We would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration.

Qatar - Research visit by Earth Centre's Research Fellow

Research visit to Qatar by Pusat ALAM's Research Fellows, Dr. Noormazlinah binti Ahmad to QEERI Research Complex, HBKU, Qatar Education City which to visit their laboratory facilities and also project site visits at Agrico Plantation for selection of suitable greenhouses, systems and plants for grant projects. Our research fellows also had the opportunity to participate in the exhibition held at Agriteq Qatar 2022, Doha Qatar to introduce UMP's products and name internationally.

Gambang, 10 February 2022 - UMP25 Workshop for the Development Plan and Strategic Planning of Centre for Sustainability of Ecosystem and Earth Resources was successfully held at Mangala Resort & Spa, Gambang with the presence of Pusat ALAM's staff, Principal Research Fellow and invited guests YBhg. Dato 'Ir. Ts. Dr. Badhrulhhisham bin Abdul Aziz (Founder and CEO of Global Rare Earth Technology).

Among the main objectives of the UMP25 Workshop is to strengthen the capacity and governance of the Center of Excellence to achieve KPI mapping and potential expansion in revenue generation initiatives. It is hoped that the development plan and strategic planning discussed with the target towards sustainability can increased competitiveness of CoE to achieve UMP Strategic Plan 2021-2025 (UMP25).
